The Carpathians forget nothing — neither human secrets nor what emerges from the forest after dusk.

Lelia awakens no longer the person she once was: she is now a werewolf, and along with her new nature comes the burden of an ancient conflict that has long been brewing in the mountains. Her power becomes not only a gift but also a mark that she is now bound to a story far greater than her own life. After a series of brutal murders, fear grips the town. Hunters begin their pursuit, sweeping through the Carpathians and mercilessly slaughtering wolves. But the real threat is closing in not only from the outside, but from within: the long-standing rivalry between the Midnight Ones, to whom Gray belongs, and the Lunars, her mother’s kind, flares up once more. The Lunars have only recently broken free from the control of a molfar who kept them in captivity for years, and now they are trying to reclaim their strength and influence. The Midnight Ones, however, have no intention of accepting the new order. The fragile balance begins to crumble, and it will take only one misstep for a new battle to ignite in the Carpathians.
