The Shining

When the Torrance family takes a job as caretakers of a luxurious hotel for the winter, they have no idea what unspeakable horror awaits them. After all, it was here that the previous caretaker committed a terrible tragedy, butchering his own family with an axe. It is in this hotel that five-year-old Danny discovers he has an extraordinary gift — "the shining" — the ability to see the true inhabitants of the house. And they are... ghosts. The boy, endowed with the gift of foresight, is revealed the terrible essence of things. He already knows where the mortal danger to his family is coming from.
