The Taste of Freedom

Varya dreams of becoming a famous chef, but her mother insists she marry a good guy in their hometown. Tired of the lack of understanding, Varya sets off for Lviv to build her culinary career independently. However, the path to success proves challenging and full of trials. Unexpectedly, Varya discovers an ancient cookbook by the legendary Olga-Maria Franko, which gives her a chance to fulfill her dream.
This story, which served as the basis for the film «The Taste of Freedom», released in March 2024, tells of courage, the pursuit of dreams, and the discovery of one's own "taste of freedom." The film stars Iryna Kudashova, Irma Vitovska, and Kostiantyn Temlyak. An additional bonus of the book is a collection of recipes from Olga-Maria Franko herself.
