The world of Portlu has its own rules: devils do accounting, nymphs are active on social media, Stryboh's son has become a vegetarian, and any necessary spell can be easily purchased, provided, of course, that you have something to pay with. Yara’s parents paid for a spell with their firstborn daughter — that’s how the girl came to a young couple of witches, where she grew up and learned to master her own magical power.
It would seem that Yara’s biggest problems should have been typical teenage issues: separating from her foster mothers, choosing her own Cult, and finding a part-time job. However, at one point, the peaceful life of Portlu came under a serious threat. Now Yara has to choose which god to trust while evil spirits forge a path into the human world.
This book is a fascinating story about coming-of-age, finding one's place in a world where mysticism and modernity intertwine, and making a choice that determines the fate of not only the heroine but also the entire world.
