The Return: An Anthology of Contemporary Prose

«The Return» is the second anthology of contemporary Ukrainian prose, compiled from texts by graduates of the Litosvita school and selected by an authoritative jury composed of Rostyslav Semkiv, Bohdana Romantsova, and Hanna Uliura.
This collection immerses the reader in a world full of contrasts: from devastated houses on the front line to small villages where death becomes a major event, and large occupied cities desperately clinging to life. On the pages of the anthology, diverse fates come to life: a florist who arranges special bouquets for those dressed in black; a schoolteacher ready to give her all for her students; a carpet that has lived a more fascinating life than many people; a chicken named Rebeka, and even the love story of aliens against the backdrop of an entire planet's demise.
