A philosophical allegorical fable that has become one of the most famous literary works in the world, earning global acclaim for its profound reflections on the meaning of life, love, and friendship.

The story is told from the perspective of a pilot who crash-lands in the vast Sahara desert. With only a meager supply of water left, he unexpectedly meets a small, golden-haired boy who asks him to draw a sheep. This boy turns out to be the Little Prince, a visitor from the tiny asteroid B-612, no bigger than a small house. The Prince tells the pilot about his life on his home planet: how every morning he cleaned out the volcanoes and pulled up baobab sprouts to keep them from tearing his world apart, and how he cared for a temperamental yet beautiful Rose. After a falling-out with his flower, the boy set off on a journey through the universe, during which he visited six other planets and met their strange inhabitants — the King, the Conceited Man, the Drunkard, the Businessman, the Lamplighter, and the Geographer — each embodying a particular flaw of the adult world.
On Earth, the Little Prince meets a Fox, who reveals to him the greatest secret of life: «One sees clearly only with the heart. What is essential is invisible to the eye.» The Fox asks the boy to tame him, explaining that the very process of taming creates invisible bonds between beings, making them unique to one another in all the world.

This is a tender, melancholic story that teaches us to remain faithful in love and friendship, to listen to the voice of the heart, and never to lose the childlike ability to see wonders in ordinary things.
