Amidst the turmoil of the 20th century, in a cozy corner of Ukraine, lies the village of Zachiplianka. Towering over the village for centuries stands a majestic cathedral, built by the Zaporozhian Cossacks. It has silently witnessed the changing of epochs and rulers, experiencing triumphs and tragedies. But times are changing, and the once magnificent temple is falling into decline. Its walls, once majestic, are now shabby and faded. The cathedral has been used as a weapons storage and then as a warehouse for animal feed. A threat looms over this historical landmark: Local leaders, devoid of spirituality, want to demolish the cathedral and build a mundane "cafe for the workers" in its place. They are indifferent to the historical value and spiritual significance of the temple. But not everyone agrees with this barbaric decision. Two young hearts, filled with sincere feelings and dreams, rise up to defend the cathedral: student Mykola and the girl Yelka. They are not afraid of difficulties and are ready to fight for the preservation of historical memory and the spiritual heritage of their people.

Will they succeed in saving the cathedral? Will they be able to resist indifference and cruelty?
