Servant from Dobromyl

Now a psychiatric hospital stands on the site of the former Dobromyl Monastery, and instead of monks, it is inhabited by patients. Only when a downpour begins and everyone around falls asleep does the Servant from Dobromyl start his seven-century-long tale. He, a dhampir — the son of a vampire and a witch — was born in these lands and witnessed their rise and fall. Now he has returned to close the circle of time, where the past and the future are layered like the very earth on which the Dobromyl Monastery stands.
For this book, the author, Halyna Pahutiak, was awarded the Taras Shevchenko National Prize in 2010.
