Adam Lampert, a Bachelor of the Royal Academy, a medic, and a bit of a poet, returns home. He's gotten into trouble and needs his father's books. Instead, his father asks him to accompany him on an expedition to the mining town of Tarnowskie Sztolnie. What could be simpler, it would seem?
