Mr. Bliss

For the first time behind the wheel of his brand-new car, Mr. Bliss sets off to visit his friends, the Bumpkins. Of course, adventures are inevitable on a road like this! Here's a cart of cabbage in the middle of the road, there's a cart of bananas, and in the forest, there are three bears. But not all adventures end with the journey. So what awaits Mr. Bliss at home, and what is that crowd coming toward him.
All of this is told in this wonderfully illustrated story by J.R.R. Tolkien. It was born from the author's own real-life adventures with his first car, which he purchased in 1932. The funny bears were inspired by Tolkien's sons' teddy bears, and he even gave two of the characters the names of heroes from his legendary «The Lord of the Rings».
