Motanka

The book «Motanka» is a unique collection of female speculative fiction by Ukrainian authors, which emerged from the YouTube channel "Fantastic Talk(s)" as a way to process the experience of war. The publication contains twelve authentic stories by contemporary writers, who immerse the reader in a world of mystery and mysticism. Each piece is accompanied by an illustration from Inna Deliyeva, whose style clearly combines folk motifs with eccentric modernity.
The collection masterfully intertwines magical realism, post-apocalypse, and steampunk, with story plots unfolding in completely different time periods. This creates a kind of "teleport" into a spacetime where the central motif remains unchanged: women defending their homeland, loved ones, and their own dignity.
