Lang's debut novel immediately caused a stir in Sweden, sparking not only admiration but also controversy. However, this did not prevent her from becoming one of the most famous detective writers of the 20th century. In total, Lang published 48 books, which were translated into at least twelve languages. Her works are distinguished by their lively plots, ability to describe details, subtle humor, and unique atmosphere of the past.
