David Herbert Lawrence — English writer, novelist, short story writer, essayist, poet, travel writer and painter.Best known for his graphic and sexually explicit novel «Lady Chatterley's Lover», which was published in Italy in 1928 but banned in the United States until 1959 and in England until 1960. The novel tells the story of the Chatterley family: the husband, paralyzed after being wounded in the war, and the wife, torn between her love for a handsome gamekeeper and her duty to her husband.
