History of Ukraine-Rus'

This is a reprint of the second, uncensored edition, which was published in Kraków in 1912. The book was prepared for publication by Bohdan Lepkyi and Vyacheslav Lypynsky after the death of the author and Vasyl Domanytskyi, the editor of the first, censored edition of 1908 (from St. Petersburg).
Interestingly, the first edition, with a print run of 7,000 copies, sold out in just one month. Unfortunately, most of the second edition was destroyed by Russian troops during World War I, making it a true bibliographic rarity.
According to Yevhen Chykalenko, this book is the most useful after The Kobzar, which emphasizes its exceptional value for understanding Ukrainian history and culture.
