Mykhaylyna Hyzhniak, once a brilliant criminal psychologist, now lives in the shadow of her past. A year ago, she narrowly escaped becoming the victim of a maniac who left her face horribly scarred. She had seemingly erased everything from her life that could remind her of that horror. But when a new serial killer emerges, copying the modus operandi of her former tormentor, Mykhaylyna finds herself thrust back into the center of the action.
