Cassandra

The poem tells the story of the Trojan prophetess Cassandra. However, the gods punished her for her pride by depriving people of faith in her words. Cassandra can see the future, but no one wants to listen to her, which leads to tragic consequences for Troy. Lesya Ukrainka was particularly interested in the personality of the seer, her psychology. The author created a multifaceted image of a woman who suffered because of her gift. This is a wonderful opportunity to get acquainted with one of the masterpieces of Ukrainian literature, to immerse yourself in the world of ancient myths and to reflect on the eternal questions of existence.
