Better Than the Movies

Liz Buxbaum always knew Wes Bennett was the worst neighbor. From childhood, he was a true menace, whether dropping a frog into her "Barbie Dreamhouse" or beheading a garden gnome. Although ten years have passed, their "war" continues, now over a street parking spot. This is Liz's last year of school — a time full of events worthy of the big screen, as she dreams of a life like those in romantic movies. Unexpectedly, it turns out she needs Wes's help. The thing is, Liz has long been in love with Michael, her dream guy, who just returned to town and, frustratingly, befriended Wes. If Liz wants Michael to finally notice her, the unbearable neighbor Wes is her only chance.
But for that, a miracle is needed to convince Wes to agree to a peculiar deal: help Liz orchestrate a magical, almost cinematic romantic moment with Michael at prom. Yet, maybe Wes isn't really that obnoxious troublemaker anymore, but a mature and reliable guy she can deal with?
