Beartown. A Trilogy

Beartown by Fredrik Backman is a powerful trilogy about a small Swedish town where hockey has become more than just a sport —  it is a way of life, a source of pride, and the community’s last hope for the future. Everyone knows everyone else here, and a victory by the junior team can mean more to the town than any words about justice or morality. But when a single event divides the community, its residents must choose between truth and loyalty, between protecting the powerful and standing by those whom others are trying to silence. As they fight for the town’s reputation, their families, and their own convictions, the characters confront the consequences of fear, violence, betrayal, and collective indifference.

This is a deeply humane story about growing up, friendship, love, and responsibility for one’s own choices. Backman shows how easily a community can turn into a mob—and how difficult, yet necessary, it is to remain human when everyone around you demands that you take a side. This bundle includes Beartown, Us Against You, and The Winners.
