Augustus Everett is a serious novelist known for "killing off" his characters. January Andrews is a bestselling romance author who writes about "happily ever afters." They are complete opposites, but fate brings them together: for the next three months, they will live next door to each other, both struggling with their own life dramas and creative crises.
