Yaryna Chornohuz

A modern Ukrainian poet, volunteer, and military servicewoman. Yaryna is a multifaceted individual who has made significant contributions to her country. While she is known for her deeply moving poetry, she has also served on the frontlines as a paramedic and later as a combat medic in the marine infantry. Her activism began during the Maidan protests, where she developed her strong sense of patriotism. For her creativity and unwavering commitment to her country, Yaryna was honored with the Taras Shevchenko Prize, the highest state award in the field of culture.
