Collection: Volodymyr Vakulenko-K.

A Ukrainian prose writer, poet, children's author, translator, volunteer, and active Wikipedian. He began writing in childhood and actively published his works starting in 2001. His work spanned various genres: from philosophical poetry and prose to vibrant, warm children's literature. Volodymyr Vakulenko was known for his staunch patriotic stance. He actively participated in the Revolution of Dignity in 2013–2014 and was wounded during the confrontations in Kyiv. Since 2015, he was involved in volunteer work, helping the Ukrainian military. Volodymyr Vakulenko became a victim of Russian aggression during the full-scale invasion. Following the occupation of his native Kapytolivka by Russian troops in the spring of 2022, the writer refused to leave, continuing to help local residents. He was abducted on March 24, 2022. Before the abduction, realizing the danger, Vakulenko buried his diary, which he kept during the occupation, under a cherry tree in his garden. He asked his father to hand it over to "our people when they arrive." Following the de-occupation of Izium in the fall of 2022, the writer's body was found in a mass grave under number 319.
