His real name was Pavlo Mykhailovych Hubenko. His sharp satirical works, filled with folk humor and wit, made him one of the most beloved Ukrainian writers. He was an active member of the literary groups «Pług» and «Hart», and participated in the creation of the magazine «Chervonyi Perets». Vyshnya masterfully exposed the flaws of society, politicians, and bureaucrats through his sharp words and witty aphorisms. In his works, he extensively used the Ukrainian vernacular, proverbs, sayings, and humor.
