Ivan Drach

A prominent figure in Ukrainian literature and politics of the 20th century. His creative work, public activities, and struggle for Ukraine's independence made him one of the most famous and influential Ukrainians. Alongside his literary work, Drach was actively involved in public life. He was one of the founders of the People's Movement of Ukraine for Perestroika. Ivan Drach was a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for several convocations and participated in the drafting of the Constitution of Ukraine. His poetry is an integral part of Ukrainian literature.
