Collection: Francis Scott Fitzgerald
A prominent member of the so-called «Lost Generation» of American writers who experienced World War I, Fitzgerald attended Princeton University but left to serve in the war. After the success of «The Great Gatsby» he and his wife, Zelda Sayre, moved to Paris, becoming part of the bohemian «Lost Generation» scene. Despite outward appearances of success, Fitzgerald's personal life was marked by challenges. His relationship with Zelda was tumultuous, marked by jealousy, alcoholism, and mental illness. Financial difficulties also plagued him. These personal struggles were reflected in his writing.
