Where the Sun Sets

The novel tells the story of Vira Petrivna, a former Ukrainian language teacher who finds herself in a nursing home. The protagonist experiences acute loneliness after losing her familiar way of life and loved ones. Her past life constantly appears before her, evoking both joy and pain. Her only hope is to return home. Will it fade away? Will her relatives remember those to whom they owe their existence? The author skillfully conveys the inner world of the characters, their experiences, memories, and dreams. Despite the sad theme, the novel is full of optimism and faith that life has meaning at any age.
