The ides of March

«The Ides of March» is not just a work, it is a literary experiment of the American writer Thornton Wilder. The author himself successfully describes it as "fantasy", because it is not a historical novel, not a philosophical treatise, and not a drama in the usual sense. «Go» is a reflection on eternal themes: fear and awe, the possibilities of the human mind, its limits. It is a philosophical drama unfolding behind the scenes of Roman history, where the dictator Caesar, the former consul Cicero, the poet Catullus and the matron Clodia express their thoughts and emotions.

It is important to note that the "Ides of March" has been translated into Ukrainian for the first time. This translation gives a new generation of readers the opportunity to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of ancient Rome, observe the lives and experiences of famous historical figures, and, together with them, plunge into deep philosophical reflections.
