Taras Bulba

The historical novella «Taras Bulba» is considered the most famous work of Nikolai Gogol. The author makes a great historical excursion into the events that took place on the Ukrainian lands during the time of the Zaporizhian Sich. This edition is the second edition of the novel, translated by Mykola Sadovsky, but it also contains important contextual inserts from the first edition.
