Orest, a bohemian young man from Odessa, receives an unexpected offer from a stranger – to star in an experimental film. He hopes that this will be the start of his career, but instead he becomes a participant in bizarre relationships, where the stories of the characters of the future film, their prototypes and the actors themselves are intertwined.
The space where the plot unfolds is fragile and mosaic, but this is what makes it Odessa with one "s" – a different Odessa, without the mask of an eternal joker and a dashing bandit, imposed on it by Soviet and post-Soviet pop culture.
