Schindler's List

«Schindler's List» is a 1982 historical fiction novel by Australian author Thomas Keneally. It is based on the true story of Oskar Schindler, a German industrialist who saved the lives of over 1,000 Jews during the Holocaust.

The novel tells the story of Schindler, who was initially a member of the Nazi Party, but eventually became a staunch opponent of Nazism. He began helping Jews after seeing what was happening in the concentration camps. He purchased a Polish factory and provided work for Jews to keep them from being deported.

Keneally wrote the novel in the style of documentary prose, using real documents and the recollections of people who knew Schindler. He created a suspenseful and compelling story that tells the tale of a man who did everything he could to help others in the darkest of times.
