Repentance Ethnographic essay. Volume 1

In this first Ukrainian edition of the work "Pokuttia" by the Polish researcher Oskar Kohlberg, the features of an extremely rich and relatively little-known region on the territory of Ukraine, located between Hutsulshchyna and Podillia along the Dniester River, are depicted. The work examines in detail geography, language, traditional clothing, customs, and rites, including weddings, as well as songs and games. The works of Oscar Kohlberg remain the most complete and thorough description of the Pokut region and its unique cultural traditions.
