The first systematic study of the Babyn Yar tragedy in Ukrainian philosophical literature.
Modern society requires new methods of preserving memory, as the past is no longer the same as it once was. Museums no longer attract the attention of viewers and do not evoke strong emotions in them, let alone catharsis. Yana Barinova uses the means of new media art and, through the study of the memory of the Holocaust, proposes innovative approaches to the organization of the memorial space in the modern city. This study is interdisciplinary, combining aspects of urban planning, art history, and the philosophy of history.
