Against the backdrop of the picturesque Black Sea sky hangs a crescent moon. Its silver glow catches the eyes of two boys, Orhan and Petrus. Each of them sees something different in it: For Orhan, it is a symbol of the Muslim faith, reminiscent of the rich history and traditions of his people; For Petrus, the moon transforms into a Cossack seagull, carrying the spirit of freedom and the rebellious Cossack spirit.
Their worlds seem so different. Orhan grew up in a Muslim family, while Petrus grew up in a Christian one. Their ancestors fought for their beliefs for centuries on this flourishing land of the Kinburn Spit, where two worlds clashed - Christian and Muslim.

The story of these boys challenges hatred and discord. It teaches us mercy and acceptance, because the path of revenge and violence leads only to new grievances and distrust.
