This is a series of reports and essays that describe the life of the generation of Ukrainians in the 90s, the time of the break of eras and political systems. The book tells about the culture of consumption, which was formed against the background of economic instability, a total knitting epidemic and a culture of hoarding everything that could be hoarded. The author uses her own memories and research to tell about the punitive gastronomy of that time, good neighborly relations, as well as how Ukrainian schoolchildren were received in Abkhazia a few months before the war.
