Heretics of Dune

The novel opens a new chapter in the history of the Dune universe, recounting events that take place thousands of years after the death of the God-Emperor Leto II, now known as the Tyrant. Humanity has spread throughout the cosmos, but the remnants of the once-mighty empire still retain their power. This process has been called the Scattering, and the travelers themselves have become the Lost. At the center of the plot are new heroes: Taraza and Odrade, leaders of the Bene Gesseryt, Miles Teg, Duncan Idaho, and Siona. All the characters in the book have an Atreides genetic and mental legacy, which unites them and makes them part of a great history, and also the fact that they are all Heretics of Dune.
