Her War. 25 Stories of Courage, Strength, and Love

The collection gathers stories of 25 women — military personnel, medics, volunteers, displaced persons, and journalists. Each has her own unique story, but they are all united by one experience: war. The book doesn't just state facts; it conveys the emotions, thoughts, and feelings of women who found themselves at the epicenter of the war. These are stories of strength of spirit, of the ability to love and empathize even in the most difficult circumstances. The collection includes texts by Valeriya Zelenska, Olha Menaylo, Anastasia Zaudal'ska, Anastasiia Blyshchyk, Yaryna Chornoguz, Oksana Chorna, Alina Smolen'ska, and many others. The collection was compiled by Yevhenia Podobna, laureate of the Shevchenko National Prize. The book captures an important moment in Ukrainian history, giving voice to women who have witnessed and participated in the war. Each story is a small life, full of drama, love, and hope.
