Garden of Gethsemane. Tiger Catchers

This edition includes two of Ivan Bahriany's most famous works, «Garden of Gethsemane» and «Tiger Catchers». The author used partially autobiographical material, and in these works, he mercilessly exposes the criminal, cynical, and inhumane nature of the communist-Stalinist regime and totalitarianism in general. Despite all the abuse, humiliation, and bloody torture inflicted by the servants of the NKVD, the main characters of the works do not give up, they resist the regime and remain human. Both novels are very relevant today, as they allow us to better understand the motives and intentions of Russian occupiers, who are the followers of Stalin's executioners. Despite different plots and characters, the themes in both works are common.
