Dante. Divine Comedy

«Divine Comedy» is a monumental poem by Dante Alighieri, considered one of the greatest works of world literature. It consists of three parts: «Inferno», «Purgatorio» and «Paradiso».

«Inferno» describes Dante's journey through the nine circles of hell, where he sees the torment of sinners. This part of the poem is known for its vivid and horrific imagery depicting human vices.
«Purgatorio» describes Dante's journey through Mount Purgatory, where the souls of sinners are cleansed of their sins. This part of the poem is more calm and reflective than «Inferno» and it focuses on the theme of repentance and salvation.  «Paradiso» describes Dante's journey through the nine spheres of paradise where he sees the bliss of the righteous. This part of the poem is full of visionary beauty and mysticism, and it describes the union of man with God.

«Divine Comedy» is not only a religious work, but also an allegory of human life. She explores the themes of good and evil, sin and salvation, faith and knowledge.
