Collection: Volodymyr Hnatiuk
A prominent figure in Ukrainian culture, ethnographer, folklorist, linguist, literary critic, art historian, translator, and public figure. From childhood, he showed an interest in folk art and collected folklore materials. After graduating from high school, Hnatiuk continued his education at Lviv University, where he studied philosophy and history. However, he was most interested in Ukrainian ethnography. He made numerous expeditions across Ukraine, collecting folk songs, tales, legends, rituals, and customs.
