Collection: Rayisa Troyanker
One of the most interesting and controversial figures of Ukrainian literature in the 1920s. Her poetry is characterized by experimentation and considerable eroticism, which was extremely atypical for that time. She was an active participant in the literary life of Kharkiv, one of the centers of the Ukrainian avant-garde. Her poetry was closely connected with the "New Generation" movement. Troyanker experimented with form, language, and themes, writing openly about love, body, and desire. Rayisa Troyanker died in 1945 under unclear circumstances. Her work was forgotten for a long time and only recently began to attract the attention of researchers.
