The world's most famous mystery writer. During World War I, while working as a nurse, Agatha began writing her first short stories. Observing people and listening to their stories inspired her to create her own detective plots. Throughout her life, Agatha Christie wrote over 80 novels and nearly 200 short stories. Christie was one of the first women to receive a literary award. She was a great admirer of archaeology and even participated in excavations.
