Bildung is a system of values, a cultural and moral readiness for life's challenges. According to the Bildung concept, education should be aimed at the harmonious development of a person's intellect, emotions, morality, and cultural values. Scandinavians not only realized Bildung as a philosophical concept but also transformed it into a practical idea. By intentionally directing this concept toward changing the education system, Scandinavians tackled the weakest link, beginning the cultural, intellectual, moral, and emotional development of peasants. This step, at first glance, seemed small, but over a century, it led to fundamental changes in the Nordic countries. Is it possible to use this idea now, when the world has significantly transformed? Does this concept remain relevant for Ukraine? And why is the development of each individual's potential so important? The authors of this book answer these and other questions.
