Jerzy Kosynskyi

Born in Poland but having spent most of his life in the United States, Jerzy Kosinski's biography is shrouded in mystery. Many facts about his life have been disputed, and some events remain entirely unknown. His childhood coincided with World War II, and he experienced the horrors of occupation, which were later reflected in his most famous novel, «The Painted Bird», Kosinski's work combines realism and grotesque, psychological analysis, and philosophical reflection.
